The Wyomissing Foundation is a private foundation located in Wyomissing Pennsylvania. The Foundation was initiated in 1928 by Ferdinand Thun. The Foundation is governed by a ten person board comprised of five descendents of the founder and five community members.

The Wyomissing Foundation is a proactive grantor and looks to utilize its assets by addressing critical community issues. The Foundation awards grants in the following categories: Arts and Culture, Conservation, Education and Human Services.
- Are all the Grants awarded in the local area?
Although a high percentage of grants are awarded in the local community the Foundation also awards grants to organizations in other communities that uniquely address critical community issues. The Foundation also looks to learn from these grants of ideas and opportunities that may be transferable to the local community.

The grant guidelines can be found on the web site. Please review the documents entitled Grant Policies and Practices, Expectations of Grantees and Grant Format. It is suggested that you review the aforementioned documents and talk to the Foundation staff before submitting a request.
- Who makes the decisions on grant acceptance?
All grant inquires and requests are screened and researched for appropriateness. If a request meets the Foundation criteria and is relative to the Foundation funding priorities it is presented for decision at the Foundation Board of Trustees meeting.
- When are the deadline dates for grant acceptance?
The Board of Trustees meetings are held Quarterly, January, April, July and October. Before submitting a request it is advised to contact the Staff for the specific submission date.
